TCPA & Consent Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
Compliance is part of the product. This policy sets out how consent is obtained and recorded for every Lead, and what we require of the Suppliers who send Leads and the Buyers who contact consumers.
1. Our commitment
Every Lead on Maple Leads must originate from a consumer who asked to be contacted. We require prior express written consent that satisfies the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227), the FCC’s implementing rules and applicable state laws before a Lead may be sold, and we keep a verifiable record of that consent for each Lead.
2. Consent standard
A qualifying consent disclosure must, at minimum:
- be clear and conspicuous, placed near the submit button, and not hidden in terms or a hyperlink;
- identify the sellers who may contact the consumer — Maple Leads and the Buyers in our marketplace — in a manner consistent with current FCC requirements;
- state that contact may be made by phone calls and text messages, including using an automatic telephone dialing system or artificial or prerecorded voice;
- state that consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services; and
- be logically and topically related to the product the consumer inquired about.
Because consent rules continue to evolve, we monitor regulatory and court developments and may update this standard; Suppliers must implement updates by the effective date we communicate.
3. Consent records
For each Lead we capture and retain:
- the exact consent language presented to the consumer;
- the date and time of consent and of form submission;
- the consumer’s IP address and the source page or channel; and
- a TrustedForm certificate (or Jornaya LeadiD) documenting the session.
Buyers can view the consent record for any Lead they purchased from the Lead detail page. We retain consent records for at least five years.
4. Supplier requirements
- Obtain and pass consent meeting the standard above, with a valid certificate, on every Lead.
- Post Leads in real time with an accurate capture timestamp and true traffic source.
- Do not submit incentivized, co-registration, recycled or purchased data without our written approval.
- Scrub against applicable federal and state do-not-call lists where required for your traffic.
- Provide consent evidence within two business days of request and cooperate with any audit or complaint.
5. Buyer requirements
- Contact consumers only about the product they inquired about, and only through your own licensed staff.
- Respect calling-time restrictions (generally 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the consumer’s local time, and narrower windows or frequency limits where state law requires).
- Maintain an internal do-not-call list and honor opt-outs promptly.
- Treat a consumer’s request to stop — by replying STOP, saying so on a call or any other reasonable means — as a revocation of consent, and stop contacting them.
- Comply with federal and state telemarketing, texting and privacy laws in all outreach.
6. Monitoring and enforcement
We review consent flows before approving Suppliers, sample consent certificates, monitor return and complaint rates, and investigate every consumer complaint. Leads without valid consent are removed and credited to Buyers. Suppliers or Buyers who violate this Policy may have Leads withheld, payouts held and accounts suspended or terminated.
7. For consumers
If you received a call or text you did not request, or want to stop your information being shared through our marketplace, email privacy@getmapleleads.com with the phone number and email address you used. We will stop distributing your information and notify the Buyers who received it of your request. You can also tell any caller directly to stop contacting you.
